Is tooth whitening safe?

Yes, teeth whitening is safe. Tooth whitening commonly uses two active ingredients: carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide which have been used for years by dentists for whitening teeth. Our dental whitening gels have been thoroughly tested, and have no harmful effects on teeth, and often improve gum health by killing bacteria. Tooth whitening has been approved by stringent dental and statutory bodies, around the world.

Many acidic tooth whitening gels on the market can damage your teeth but Whiter Than White gels are safe and have a neutral pH value of 6.8 - 7.2.

Over the counter products that contain citric or acetic acid as their active ingredients can actually cause structural damage to enamal if used over an extended period. Others have abrasives that remove stains from the surface of the teeth rather than oxidising from within, making the teeth look whiter but in reality they have removed some of the enamel.
