What are Nanofibres?
Nanofibres are a unique formulation of pure keratin that have been precision cut by laser to microscopic dimensions.
After cutting, the Nanofibres are dyed and are coated to enhance the retention of electrostatic charge. The dried Nanofibres are then hygienically packed into containers, which are constructed from a sophisticated polymer that stimulates static charging of the Nanofibres whenever the container is moved.
How do Nanogen Nanofibres work?
Contrary to what you may think, thinning scalps contain thousands of colourless 'vellus' hairs (peach fuzz) which can been seen if you look very carefully at a balding scalp.
These hairs, together with normal 'terminal' hairs are able to bond tightly with Nanofibres when they are sprinkled over the thinning area. Nanofibres creates an incredibly natural pattern resembling a Fir Tree branch on each individual hair. As each of the thousands of remaining hairs are thickened many times over, the appearance and feel of density is confidently achieved using Nanofibres.

Directions for using Nanofibres:
- Wash and Dry hair. After styling, sprinkle Nanogen Nanofibres over the thinning areas until the scalp is no longer visible.
- Using your hand, pat and shape the area so that the Nanofibres can merge seamlessly with your existing hair. Don't use a comb or brush.
- Apply Nanogen Locking Mist to bind the hair-fibre matrix.

How long do the fibres last?
Nanogen Nanofibres last approximately between 30 and 45 days dependent on use. Simply shake Nanofibres (with the lid screwed on) to gauge how much you have left. Do not leave yourself short.
Will the fibres become dislodged?
Applied correctly, Nanofibres can be used with confidence. We recommend applying a layer of Nanofibres, followed by a few short bursts of the Nanogen Locking Mist to hold them in place. This should then be repeated for extra volume.
Are the Nanofibres safe to use with hair regrowth formulas such as minoxidil?
Yes. These special Nanofibres are completely non-toxic and do not interfere with any other Nanogen products, or other topical formulations that you may be using. Nanofibres are simply cosmetic preparation.
Can Nanofibres stain clothes or bedlinen for example?
No. Nanofibres are 100% colourfast so no dye is transferred to clothes, bedlinen or your scalp. If the Nanofibres drop onto a surface, simply dust them away with a dry hand.
My hair is greying slightly - Are Nanofibres suitable?
Yes. You should sprinkle the main colour first (e.g. black, brown, blonde etc) followed by a sprinkling from a grey (or white) container. The Nanofibres are completely dry and will intermingle perfectly. This method can be used with any colour combination (e.g. highlights).
How do I choose the right Nanofibres colour?
Use the colour chart above to find the closest suitable match for your hair colour, remembering that you can easily mix colours for different combinations (eg. slightly greying hair or highlights).
