These are known outside the UK as mouthguards. They're used mainly in rugby, hockey and other contact sports.
Normally you would have to arrange an appointment with a dentist to have a proper gumshield fitted but now you don't even�have to leave the comfort of your own home. We custom-make Proform gumshields in our dental laboratory using the same process we have developed for our tooth whitening kits.
Our Proform gumshields fit perfectly and are comfortable to wear. They also allow you to breathe properly when exercising vigorously.
The British Dental Association recommends custom-fitted gumshields and says you should avoid those sold in shops, because they may not offer proper protection, and can easily come loose.
Each of our gumshields is made of a 4mm laminated thick layer.
Please note that our stripey gumshield is only available in red, white and blue.
